Kendrick Lamar, The Weeknd e Katy Perry guidano la lista.

Sono uscite le nomination per gli MTV Video Music Awards di quest'anno, annunciate per la prima volta tramite una "squadra d'élite di star di Instagram" su Insta Live, perché no?

Kendrick Lamar ha ottenuto il maggior numero di nomination dell'anno con otto nomination per il suo video "Humble", mentre Katy Perry e The Weeknd sono al secondo posto con cinque nomination ciascuno. Da oggi, i fan possono votazione in otto categorie VMA, tra cui Artista dell'anno, Video dell'anno, Migliore collaborazione e altro.

Dopo l'eliminazione delle categorie di genere a quest'anno MTV Movie & TV Awards, i VMA seguiranno l'esempio e combineranno il miglior video femminile e il miglior video maschile in un'unica categoria. È inclusa anche la categoria Best Fight Against The System, che ha debuttato agli MTV Movie & TV Awards a maggio come celebrazione di progetti che ispirano gli spettatori a combattere l'ingiustizia.
